Murchison Falls National Park

The Victoria Nile divides the park into two parts.  North of the river, you will find green grassland with palms, acacia trees end riverine woodland.  South of the river, the woodlland is much more denser.  It is in the Northern part that you can do game-drives and there you will find many buffalo, hartebeest, Uganda kob, warthdog, Rothschild's griaffe, elephants, lions and of course the hippo.

You can also make a boat trip on the Nile.  On the way to the falls, the boat follows a stretch of the Nile, really African atmosphere.  You will see hippos, crocodiles, small herds of buffalo.  And you will find a stunning birdlife; African fish eagle, Goliath heron, African jacana, saddle-billed stork, kingfishers, weavers, etc.

From the boat you will have an impressive sight on Murchison Falls.  But you can also visit the viewpoint of the falls.  The viewpoint on the south side is worth visiting.
