Lion-tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a very early breakfast, we drive towards the Gate, where we pickup James, who is going to do the 'lion-tracking’ with us.  He has the material to track the lions.
Nearby a small village at Kazinga-channel, we find the first group of lions, 2 young females en 2 young males. They are this close to the village because they smell the goats.
We drive on in the park, and soon we find another group, 3 females en 2 cubs.
Not only lions on the programme today, also a big group of eliphants.

A little bit later, we find a third groep, from which the young lions are hanging in the trees, trying to sleep.

Dry season in Kidepo Valley

Because of the dry season we see a lot of eliphants, but not so many lions.
The eliphants are now everywhere, looking for water.

But the lions are difficult to see in the dry grass.
If you come during wet season, the lions will come out of the grass and you will find them on top of the rocks.

Murchison National Park

When we enter the park, at the gate, we see a lot of people, we see a lot cars.  It seems it is going to be very busy.  As Patrick Kato is a guide himself, we don't need to wait for a ranger/guide, so we drive into the park.

Murchison is Savanah, really impressive, and especially when you meet soon family giraffe.  Beautiful!  So elegant!

Soon, we see no cars anymore.  We thought it would be busy, but it is buys with animals.  There are the eliphants!

In this National Park the animals give the impression they are used to cars.  Especially the antilopes, they don't run away, on the contrary, they stop so you can take good pictures.

Today it is warm and dry, but you can see nature is green, and once and while there is a opportunity to take a mud-bath.

If you prefer clean water, you can go for a Nile-cruise, to see the hippo's and crocodiles, Patrick Kato can arrange this for you.

If you want to go up to the Waterfalls, Patrick Kato can arrange that also for you.

By the way, Patrick Kato is a very good camara-man!

You want to go to eat a Tilapia, he will arrange it for you.

Arnout & Simon had a really good time together with Patrick Kato, and they came with the idea to call him KATO TOURS.  So, from this day, we will use this name, thank you Arnout & Simon!
